More than 330 Thousand Tourists Registered in the Second Day of Water Festival

PHNOM PENH: According to the report announced by the Ministry of Tourism, 332,875 thousand tourists were recorded travelling around the provinces on the second day of the three-day Water Festival. The figure is 152.15% higher than the first day of the holiday, when 132,013 travelers went to enjoy different parts of the Kingdom.

Phnom Penh capital was the most popular tourist destination attracting 66,750 visitors, while Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, Kep, Pursat, Battambang, Mondulkiri and Rattanakiri were other destinations recorded in order of number of tourists.

The holiday of this year follows the same trend of 2020, when the Water Festival celebrations were cancelled but citizens were still allowed to travel throughout the country. It also follows the opening of tourism and other activities in the country since the Royal Government has declared the Kingdom open since the first of November.
